Supervisors
Supervisors play a crucial role in shaping the training experiences within the AzPTC. With 27 training sites spanning various areas such as neuropsychology, forensic psychology, community mental health, and private practice settings, supervisors provide invaluable guidance and support to the postdoctoral residents. They serve as mentors, educators, and role models, offering expertise and insights into their respective fields. Supervisors facilitate a learning environment that encourages autonomy, critical thinking, and professional development. Through regular supervision and feedback, supervisors help residents refine their clinical skills, deepen their theoretical understanding, and navigate ethical dilemmas. Additionally, supervisors foster a supportive and inclusive atmosphere that promotes interdisciplinary collaboration and cultural competence. By actively engaging with residents, supervisors ensure the delivery of high-quality and comprehensive training experiences that prepare them for successful careers in psychology.
