Arizona Psychology Training Consortium
Eligibility Requirements
Postdoctoral residency applicants must have completed a doctoral degree in Clinical, Counseling, School psychology, or related program in psychology, from regionally accredited graduate institutions, and a predoctoral internship meeting APPIC standards. Applicants from graduate institutions and internship programs in Arizona will be given preference in the applicant selection process.
The required application materials are:
-
Cover letter summarizing your training interests;
-
Current curriculum vita;
-
Documentation that you will complete all your doctoral degree requirements, including internship and dissertation, before the start of the residency year. This documentation can either be an official transcript verifying your doctoral degree completion or a letter from your graduate program Director of Training or Dissertation Chair verifying that you are expected to complete all doctoral degree requirements before the residency start date;
-
Official transcripts of all doctoral studies;
-
Three letters of recommendation, in sealed and signed envelopes, from academic faculty, supervisors, or employers of your choice
Ultimately, each postdoctoral applicant must submit at least two complete application packets. One complete application packet must be emailed to Dr. Capps-Conkle. The second complete application packet must be emailed directly to each training site of interest.
A letter of interest is sufficient to start the application process. The other documents may be submitted later.
